Making tea, playing games, watching frogs: what we love, June 2016 edition

By Caitlin Lawson

Welcome to the first post of our Monthly Series, “What We Love.” Get to know the team at migo IQ a little bit better as they share with you the things that make them happy.

This month we feature a tea maker, board games (remember those?), and frogs that sit like humans.

1. The Breville One-Touch Tea Maker

Breville Tea Maker One Touch

Recommended by: Jonathan Kotthoff

“A revolutionary experience with tea,” the Breville One-Touch Tea Maker has an automated tea basket moves around to “agitate” the leaves to precisely infuse your tea. Different types of tea require different water temperatures and brew times in order to let their unique flavors and aromas to develop. The Tea Maker eliminates the guesswork so you can enjoy a perfect cup of tea every single time.

We just know Jon is obsessed with tea, and with this particular Tea Maker.

According to Forbes.com, “[Godin] is a demigod on the Web, a best-selling author, highly sought-after lecturer, successful entrepreneur, respected pundit and high-profile blogger. He is uniquely respected for his understanding of the Internet.” Godin created one of the first Internet-based direct-marketing firms and has written a number of critically acclaimed books about Internet marketing. He brings out-of-the-box marketing insight that has helped hundreds of companies change marketing practices for the better. He's also the founder of Squidoo.com, a website where users can share links and information about an idea or topic important to them.

3. Board Games

Jose tells us, "I like board games. I'm old-school. I like more modern board games. There is sort of an underground-ish resurgence of board games and many of them come from Europe, mostly Germany." A few favorites from his collection: The Resistance (pictured above), Small World, Blue Moon City, Forbidden Island, 7 Wonders, and Pandemic.

4. Attic Fans

Goodbye, pizza

Recommended by: An Unidentified migo IQ Team Member

Why attic fans, you may ask? For getting rid of burnt pizza smell. Because burnt pizza is what happens to your lunch when you spent too much time strategizing on a phone call with other Migo team members (who shall also remain nameless). RIP, delicious pepperoni pizza slices.

5. Creative Rewards for Workplace Wins

Because when your strategies are compelling enough to make you forget lunch, you should get some kind of trophy, like this pair of Antique Trompe l'Oeil Hunting Trophy Paintings.

6. Stone RuinTen Triple IPA

Recommended by: Karlo Martinez

What’s the best thing after a long day at work? That’s right, an ice-cold beer. And according to Karlo, it’s got to be a Stone RuinTen Triple IPA. A step above the Stone RuinTen IPA, this Triple IPA includes more hops and an elevated alcohol content. Hoppy drinking. Speaking of hoppy...

7. Frogs Acting Like Humans

Recommended by: Joe Mueller

Nothing is funnier or cuter than animals taking on human tendencies. Come on, you know this one made you giggle.
